Masterclass :The masterclass is primarily intended for students and musicians who are studying or have studied the violoncello, as well as for chamber music groups (string quartets, string trios, piano trios, string/piano duos,…) who would like to gain further inspiration and experience. Young musicians who are not yet studying but are interested in studying in the future – or simply want to get a taste of music – are also very welcome! Participants will be selected via live auditions in Vienna or Munich, or via video selection, and will be announced by the end of April.
Venues : The masterclass will be held in the beautiful towns of Rennes le Chateau and Alet les Bains, in the department of Aude, Occitanie (France) from 17 July to 24 July 2026.
The final concert will take place in the old abbey ruins of Alet les Bains.
Costs: There are no course fees, only the costs of travel and meals are to be covered by the participants themselves. If the free accommodation is fully booked, the costs of accommodation must also be covered by the participants themselves. Early registration is therefore recommended.
Accommodation : Accommodation can be provided free of charge for a certain number of participants. If all sponsored accommodation is occupied, there are private accommodations or hotels in the area that can be booked.

Masterclass : La masterclass s'adresse principalement aux étudiants et musiciens qui étudient ou ont étudié le violoncelle, ainsi qu’aux groupes de musique de chambre (quatuor à cordes, trio à cordes, trio avec piano, duo cordes/piano,...) qui souhaitent acquérir de nouvelles impulsions et expériences. Les jeunes musiciens qui ne font pas encore d'études mais qui s'intéressent à des études futures - ou qui souhaitent simplement s'initier à la musique - sont également les bienvenus ! La sélection des participants se fera lors d’une audition en direct à Vienne ou à Munich, ou par sélection vidéo, et sera annoncée d'ici la fin avril.

Masterclass: Die Masterclass ist vor Allem für Studierende und Musiker/Musikerinnen gedacht, welche sowohl Violoncello studieren oder studiert haben, als auch für Kammermusikgruppen (Streichquartett, Streichtrio, Klaviertrio, Streicher/Klavier Duos,…) welche weitere Impulse und Erfahrungen bekommen möchten. Auch junge Musiker/Musikerinnen die noch nicht studieren aber Interesse an einem zukünftigen Studium haben - oder einfach nur hineinschnuppern wollen in die Musik, sind herzlich willkommen ! Die Auswahl der Teilnehmenden findet per live - Vorspiel in Wien oder München, oder per Videoauswahl statt und wird bis Ende April bekanntgegeben.
